"My Rabb, make me a establisher of  prayer and also my decendants and our Rabb accept our supplications and our Rabb, forgive me and my parents and the believers on the day of resurrection."   Suray Ibraheem 14: 39-41

RECOMMENDED WAY OF LIFE

"...so recite what is easy for you of the Quran.  He has known that there will be among you those that are ill and others travelling throughout the land seeking something of the bounty of Allah and others fighting for the cause of Allah.  So recite what is easy from it and establish prayer and give Zakat and loan Allah a goodly loan.  And what ever good you put forward for yourself  - you will find it with Allah.  And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." Quran, Al-Muzzammil, 73:  19-20

DAY OF JUDGEMENT

"On the Day, the sky will be like murky oil, and the mountains will be like wool, and no friend will ask anything of a friend.  They will recognise each other.  The criminals will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that day by his children and his wife and his brother, and his nearest kindred who sheltered him, and whoever is on earth entirely, so they save him.  No! Indeed it is the flame of hell, a remover of exteriors.  It invites he who turned his back on truth and went away in disobedience and collected wealth and hoarded.  Indeed, mankind was created anxious.  When evil touches him, impatient, and when good touches him, withholding it, except the observer of prayer.  Those who are constant in their prayer and those in whose wealth is a known right...they will be in gardens, honored."  Quran, Al-Ma-arij, 70 : 8-35

PRIVATE CONVERSATION

"O! you who have believed, when you converse privately, do not converse about sin and aggression and disobedience of the Messenger but converse about righteousness and piety.  And fear Allah, to Whom you will be gathered.  Private conversation is only from Shaitan that he may grieve those who have believed but he will not harm them at all except by permission of Allah.  And upon Allah let the believers rely."  Quran, Al-Mujadalah, 58:  9-10

STAGES AFTER DEATH

"When the earth is shaken with convulsions.  And the mountains are crumbled, breaking down.  And become dust, dispersing.  and you become of three kinds : then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?  And the companions of the left - what are companions of the left? And the forerunners, the forerunners - those are the ones brought close to Allah - in the garden of pleasure, a  large company of the former people, and a few of the later people.  On thrones woven with ornaments, reclining on them, facing each other.  There will be moving among them young boys made eternal, with tumblers and jugs and a peg of a flowing spring - no headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated.  And fruit of what they select.  And the meat of fowl from what ever they desire.  and for them are fair women with large, beautiful eyes - the likeness of pearls well protected - as reward for what they used to do.  They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - only a saying, "Peace, peace." Quran, Al-Waqiah, 56: 4-26

AWARDS

"No bearer will bear the burden of another. And that there is not for man except that (good) for which he strives and that his effort is going to be seen . Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense - and that your Rabb is the Finality."  Quran, An-Najm, 53: 37-42

BELIEF IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT

"The disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.  When we have died and become dust, we will return to life? This is unlikely."  .....They are in a confused condition.  Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We structured t and adorned it and how it has no rifts? And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow things of every beautiful kind, giving reminder to every servant who turns to Allah. And We have sent down blessed rain and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest. And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - as provision for the servants, and We give life thereby to the dead land.  Thus will be the Resurrection.  ......The previous generation denied their messengers.  Did We fail in the first creation?  But they are in confusion over a new creation." Quran, Qaf, 50 : 2-15

"My Rabb enable me to be grateful for your favor which You have bestowed on me and my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my off springs.  Indeed I have repented to You and indeed I am of the Muslims." Quran, Al-Ahqaf, 46 : 15

RABB

Prophet Ibraheem said about the unbelievers, "Indeed they are enemies to me, except the Rabb of the worlds, Who created me, and it is He Who guides me and it is He Who feeds me and gives me drink.  And when I am ill it is He Who cures me and Who will cause me to die and then bring me to life and Who, I inspire will forgive my sin on the day of recompense, and he (Ibraheem) said, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. And grant me a mention of honor in later generations and place me among the inheritors of the garden of pleasure."  Quran, Ash-Shura, 26: 78-85

REPENT

For those who repent, "Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.  And he who repents and does righteousness, does indeed turn to Allah with repentance.  And they are those who do not testify falsehood, and if they pass by ill speech, they pass by with dignity.  And those who when reminded of the verses of their Rabb, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.  And those who say, "Our Rabb grant us from among our wives and off springs, comfort for our eyes and make us a leader. Those will be awarded the Chamber for that they patiently endured and they will be received therein with greetings and peace, abiding therein forever." Quran, Ash-Shura, 26: 70-76

BELIEVERS

"O' Believers!  Bow down, prostrate yourself, worship your Rabb and do good deeds so that you may attain salvation.  Strive in the Way of Allah as you ought to strive with sincerely and discipline.  He has chosen you and has not laid upon you any hardship in the observance of your faith - the faith of your father Ibraheem.  He named you Muslims before in prior scriptures and in this Quran."  Quran, Al-Hajj, 22: 77-78

HUMILITY

"But Indeed your Rabb is Kind and Merciful.  Have you not considered what things Allah has created?  Their shadows incline to the right and to the left prostrating to Allah, while they are humble.  And to Allah prostrates whatever is in the heaven and in the earth of creatures and of the angels and they are not arrogant.  They fear their Rabb above them and they do what they are commanded.  And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourself two deities.  He is but one ilah so fear only Me."  And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heaven and the earth, and to Him is worship due at all times."  Quran, An-Nahl, 16: 46-52

REMEMBER ALLAH

"Bring your Rabb to remembrance deep within your soul, and in reverence without raising your voice, both in the mornings and in the evenings and be not of those who are heedless.  Surely, those who are near your Rabb (angels) are never too proud to worship Him, they declare His glory and prostrate themselves before Him." Quran, Al-Araf,  7: 205-206

PROHIBITIONS

"O' Mohammed say, "Come I will recite what your Rabb has forbidden to you: not to commit shirk with Him, be kind to your parents, not to kill your children making the excuse of inability to support them - We provide sustenance for you and for them - not to commit shameful deeds whether open or secret, and not to kill any soul forbidden by Allah except for the requirements of justice.  These are the things which He enjoined you so that you may use reason.

BLESSINGS OF ALLAH

"Surely it is Allah, Who causes the seed and the fruit-stone to split and sprout.  He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living.  It is Allah who does all this then why are you being mislead?  He causes the daybreak from the dark.  He makes the night for rest and makes the rising and the setting of the sun and the moon for you to determine times (days, weeks, months and years); these are the arrangements of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.  He is the One Who made the stars for you so that you may find your way thereby in the darkness, whether you are on land or sea.  We have spelled out Our revelations very clearly for people of common sense."  Quran, Al-Anam, 6: 95-97

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

BELIEVERS

"Remember the favors of Allah and the covenant which He ratified with you when you said, "We hear and we obey".  Have fear Allah; surely Allah knows the secrets of your hearts.  O' Believers!  Be steadfast for sake of Allah and bear true witness and let not the enmity of a people incite you to do injustice; do justice that nearer to piety.  Fear Allah, surely Allah is aware of all your actions.  Allah has promised those who believe and do good deeds that for them there is forgiveness and a mighty reward.  As for those who reject faith and deny Our revelations , they will be companions of the hell fire."   Quran, Al-Maidah, 5: 7-10

DUA

"Our Rabb! You have not created this in vain.  Glory be to You and save us from the punishment of Fire.  Our Rabb! Whomsoever You admit to the Fire, You have surely humiliated him and for the evil doers shall be no helper.  Our Rabb!  We have heard a caller calling us to faith saying, "Believe in your Rabb".  So we believed.  Our Rabb! therefore, forgive us our sins and acquit us of our evil deeds and make us die with the pious.  Our Rabb! Grant us that which You have promised us through Your Messengers and humiliate us not on the day of Resurrection.  Surely, You never dishonor Your promise."  Quran, Al-imran, 3:191-194

USURY

"O' Believes!  Do not consume usury which is compounded over and over again. Have fear of Allah so that you may prosper. Guard yourself against the fire which is prepared for the unbelievers. Obey Allah and His Rasool so that you may be shown mercy."  Quran, Al-Imran, 3:130-131

INTIMATE FRIENDS

"O' Believers! Do not make intimate friendships with any but your own people. The unbelievers will not miss any opportunity to corrupt you.  They desire nothing but your destruction; their malice has become evident from what they say; and what they conceal in their hearts is far worse.  We have made our revelations plain to you if you want to comprehend.  Whereas you love them, they do not love you, even though you believe in their Holy Books (the Psalms, the Torah and the Gospels)."  Quran, Al-Imran, 3:118-119

BEST NATION

"You are the best nation which has ever been raised for the guidance of mankind. You enjoin good, forbid evil, and believe in Allah.  Had the people of the book believed, it would have been better for them. Among them some are believers but most of them are transgressors. Anyhow, they can do no harm to you except a trifling annoyance... Yet they are not alike, there are some among the People of the Book who are upright, who recite the revelations of Allah all night long and then prostrate before Him.  They believe in Allah and the Last Day, they enjoin good and forbid evil and rush in emulating each other in good deeds.  These are the righteous people.  Whatever good they do, its reward will not be denied to them.  Allah knows the pious."  Quran, Al-Imran, 3: 110-115

SPEND IN THE WAY OF ALLAH

"The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears each bearing one hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases.  Allah is sufficient for His creatures needs and All-Knowing.  Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and do not follow their charity with reminders of their generosity or injure the feeling of the recipient, shall get their reward from their Rabb, they shall have nothing to fear or to grieve. Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. Allah is Self-Sufficient, Fore-Bearing."   Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2: 261-263

ANGEL JIBRAEEL

"But no!  I do swear by the retreating stars, that run their course and hide, by the night as it dissipates, by the morning when it breaths again: surely this is the Word (Quran, brought by) a most honorable Messenger (Gabriel), possessor of mighty power, having very high ranks with the Owner of the Throne (Allah),  who is obeyed in heaven and is trustworthy.  O' people of Mecca!  Your companion has not gone mad; he (Mohammed) indeed saw him (Gabriel) in the clear horizon, and he (Mohammed) is not to withhold the knowledge of the unseen (i.e. whatever is revealed by Allah).  This (Quran) is not the word of the accursed Shaitan.  Where then is your imagination taking you?  This is but a reminder to all the people of the world to each one of you who wills to follow the Right Way.  And you cannot will without the will of Allah, the Rabb of the worlds.  Quran, At-Takweer, 81: 15-29

LOGIC

"Surely the righteous will be rewarded with gardens of delight by their Rabb.  Shall We treat the Muslims as We treat the criminals? What is the matter with you?  What kind of judgement do you make?   Or do you have a book from which you read that you shall be given whatever you choose?  Or do you have a sworn covenant - a covenant binding on us till the a Day of Resurrection - that you shall have whatever you demand? Ask if any of them will vouch for that.  Or do they have other gods who can help them against Allah? If so let them produce their other gods, if they are truthful.  On the Day of Judgement they will be called upon to prostrate themselves, they shall not be able to do so.  They shall stand with eyes downcast, utterly humbled, because during their safe and sound earthly life, when they were called upon to prostrate themselves, they refused to do so." Quran, Al-Qalam, 68: 34-43

TRUTH!!

"We (Allah) created man.  We know the promptings of his soul, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein. We have assigned to each and every one two scribes (guardian angels), one seated on the right and the other on his left.  Not a single word does he utter but there is a vigilant guardian ready to note it down.  When the agony of death will become the truth before his eyes, he will say, "This is what we were trying to escape!"  And the trumpet shall be blown, that will be the day of which you were threatened.  Each soul will come forth, with it, there will be an angel to drive and an angel to bear witness.  It will be said, "You were heedless of this but now We have removed your veil, so your eyesight is sharp today!" His companion angel will say, "Here is my testimony ready with me."  The sentence will be, "Throw into hell every stubborn disbeliever, opponent of good and doubting transgressor, who set up other gods besides Allah.  So throw him into severe punishment."  Quran, Qaf, 50: 16-26

ISLAMIC BEHAVIOUR

"O Believers!  Let no men laugh at other men who may be perhaps better than they are, and let no women laugh at other women who may be perhaps better than they are.  Do not defame through sarcastic remarks about one another, nor call one another by offensive nicknames.  It is an evil thing to be called by a bad name after being a believer and those who do not repent are the ones who are the wrongdoers.  O' Believers! Avoid immoderate suspicion, for in some cases, suspicion is a sin.  Do not spy on one another, nor backbite one another (to say something behind another's back, that if one hears it, dislikes it).  Would any of you like to eat the flesh of your dead brother? Surely, You would abhor it.  Fear Allah for Allah is the Acceptor of repentance, Merciful."  Quran, Al-Hujurat, 49: 11-12

BROTHERHOOD / SISTERHOOD

"But Allah has endeared the faith (Islam) to you and beautified it in your hearts making unbelief, wrongdoing and disobedience abhorrent to you.  It is they (who follow Islam), who are rightly guided through Allah's grace and blessings.  Allah is All-Knowledgeable, All-Wise.  If two parties among the believers fall into a fight, make peace between them.  Then if either of them transgresses against the other, fight the transgressor until they return to the commands of Allah. Then if they return, make peace between them with justice and be fair, for Allah loves those who are fair and just.  The believers are brothers of one another, therefore make reconciliation between your brothers and fear Allah, so that you may be shown mercy."  Quran, Al-Hujurat, 49: 7-10

PROPHET ISA

"When Marium's son, Isa (Jesus) was quoted as an example, your people raise a clamor at it, and say, "Are our God's better or is he?"  They site this to you merely for argument.  Nay! they are a quarrelsome people.  He (Jesus) is  no more than a mortal whom We favored and made as an example for the children of Israel.  Had it been Our will We could have replaced you with angels to succeed you on earth.  He (Jesus) is in fact  a sign for the coming of the hour (Day od Ressurection).  Therefore have no doubt about its coming, follow me this is the Right Way."  Quran, Az-Zukhruf, 43: 57-61

SIGNS OF ALLAH

"This book is revealed from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-wise. Surely in the heavens and the earth there are signs for the true believers, in your own creation and that of the animals which are scattered through the earth; there are signs for those who are firm in faith, in the alteration of the night and the day, in the sustenance that Allah sends down from heaven with which He revives the earth after its death and in the changing of the winds, there are signs for those who use their common sense.  These are the revelations of Allah which we are reciting to you in all truth.  Then, in what report after Allah and His revelations will they believe? Woe to each lying sinner!  He hears the revelations of Allah recited to him yet he arrogantly persists as if he never heard them; announce to him a painful punishment.  And when something of our revelations come to his knowledge, he takes them as a joke; for all such people there will be a humiliating punishment.  Beyond them there is hell, and nothing of what they have earned in this world will be of any benefit to them, nor those that they have taken besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment.  This Quran is the true guidance." Quran, Al-Jatiya, 45: 1-11

DEEN OF AL-ISLAM

" O Prophet, tell them, "Whatever is the subject of your dispute, the Judgement belongs to Allah.  Such is Allah, my Rabb; in Him I have put my trust, and to Him I turn in all my affairs and in repentance; the Creator of the heavens and the earth.  He has made for you mates from among yourself and also mates among the cattle from their own kind, by this means does he multiply you.  There is no one like Him.  He alone hears all and sees all. To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth.  He gives abundantly to whom he pleases and sparingly to whom He wills.  He is the knower of every thing.  He has ordained for you the same Deen (way of life, Islam) which He enjoined on Nuh and which He has revealed to you (Mohammad); and which He enjoined on Ibraheem and Musa and Isa.  Establish the Deen of Al-Islam and make no divisions (sects) in it." Quran, Ash-Shura, 42: 10-13

PROPHET SULAIMAN

"To Daud We gave Sulaiman, an excellent devotee!  Who was frequent in returning to Us.  Worthy of mention is the incident when, one afternoon, excellent bred steeds, to be used in Jihad, were presented to him, and he said, "Surely I have adopted the love of these good things with a view to glorify my Rabb."  In testing race of the steed, when they disappeared from sight, he commanded, "Bring them back to me." Then he began to pass his hands over their legs and necks with affection.  Behold We also put Sulaiman to test and placed a mere body on his throne, then he turned to Us in repentance and said, "O my Rabb!  Forgive me and grant me a kingdom similar to which may not be given to any one after me.  Surely, You are the  Bountiful Giver."  We accepted his prayer and subjected the wind to his power, which blew gently in whichever direction he wanted, and the shaitans (Jinns)including all kinds of builders, divers and others fettered in chains.  We said to him, "This is Our gift, you may give or withhold to whoever you want without any accountability."  Surely, he hava place of nearness to Us and will have an excellent place of final abode." Quran, Sad, 38: 30-40

PROPHET DAUD

"O Prophet! Have patience at what they say, and remember Our servant Daud, the man of strength, who was frequent in turning to Allah.  We made the mountains join him in Our praises at evening and the sunrise.  And the birds too with all their flocks join in glorifying Allah with him.  We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and sound judgement in speech and decision."  Quran. Sad, 38: 17-20

PUNISHMENT FOR YUNUS

"Yunus was surely one of Our Rasools.  He ran away to the laden ship; and when he took part in the casting of the lots, he lost and was then thrown into the sea. A whale swallowed him for he had become blameworthy.  Had he not repented and become one of those who glorify Allah, he would certainly remained inside its belly till the Day of Resurrection.  Then We cast him upon a desolate shore in a state of serious illness and caused a gourd plant to grow over him.  We sent him to a nation of one thousand people or more. They believed in him so We permitted them to enjoy their life for awhile." Quran, As-SAffat, 37: 139-148

A MIGHTY TEST

"Ibraheem said, "I am going to take refuge with my Rabb,  He will surely guide me. O' my Rabb!  Grant me a righteous son."  So We gave him good news of a clement son.  When he reached the age to work with him, Ibraheem said to him, "O my son!  I have seen a vision that I should offer you as a sacrifice, now tell me what is your view."  He replied, "O my father!  Do as you are commanded, you will find me, if Allah so wills, of the patient." And when they both submitted to Allah and Ibraheem laid down his son prostrate upon his forehead for sacrifice, We called out to him, "O Ibraheem! stop!  You have fulfilled your vision."  Thus do We reward the righteous.  That was indeed a manifest test.  We ransomed his son for a great sacrifice and we left his good name among the later generations." Quran, As-Saffat, 37:99-108

DAY OF JUDGEMENT

"Then a trumpet shall be blown and behold, they will rise up from their graves and hasten to their Rabb. They will say, "Oh, Woe to us!  Who has raised us up from our graves?" They will be told, "This is what the Compassionate had promised and true was the word of the Rasools."  It will be no more than a single blast, and then they will all be gathered before Us.  On that Day no soul will suffer the least injustice and you shall all be rewarde according to your deeds.

Surely on that Day, the residents of paradise will be busy with their joy, they and their spouses will be in shady grooves reclining on soft couches.  They will have all kinds of fruit and they will get whatever they call for.  They will be greeted with the word, "Salam (Peace)" from the Lord of Mercy (Allah).

While to the sinners He will say, "Get aside today you criminals! Did I not enjoin you, O children of Adam, not to worship Shaitan, who is your open enemy and that you should worship Me, which is the Right Way.  Yet, in spite of this he (Shaitan) has led a great number of you astray.  Did'nt you have common sense?  This is the hell of which you were repeatedly warned.  Now burn in it this Day because you persistently rejected the truth."  On that day We shall seal their mouths while their hands will speak to Us and their feet will bear witness to their misdeeds."  Quran, Ya-Seen, 36: 51-65

ALWAYS SAY THE RIGHT THING

"O' Believers!  Fear Allah and always say the right thing.  He will bless your work and forgive your sins - for he that obeys and and His Rasool, has indeed achieved the highest achievement."  Quran, Al-Ahzab, 33:71

MODESTY- 2

"O'Prophet! Enjoin your wives, daughters and believing that they should draw their gowns over themselves.  That is more proper that they may be recognized and not bothered. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.  Quran, Al-Ahzab, 33: 59

SIGNS OF ALLAH

"Of His signs is that He created you from dust and there you are: people scattered throughout the earth.  And of His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourself that you may find comfort with them and He planted love and mercy for each other in your hearts; surely, there are signs in this for those who think about it.  And also of His signs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the differences of your languages and colors; surely, there are signs in this for the knowledgeable.  And among His signs is your sleep at night and quest for His bounty during the day; surely, there are signs in this for those who listen.  And of His signs is the showing of lightening, in which there is fear as well as hope; and He sends down rain water from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after its death; surely, there are signs in this for those who use their common sense.  And of His signs are the firmly standing heaven and earth by His command, then as soon as He summons you out of the earth you come forth at one call.  To Him belong everything in the heavens and the earth, all are obedient to  Him.  He is the One Who originates creation then repeats it; and this is ever easier for Him.  To Him belongs the highest attribute in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."   Quran, Ar-Rum, 30: 20-27

QAROON

"It is a fact that Quroon was one of Musa's people but he rebelled against them. we had given him such treasures that their very keys were a heavy burden to a band of strong men. When his people said to him, "Do not exult, for Allah does love the exultant. Rather seek by means of what Allah has given you, to attain the abode of the hereafter, while not neglecting your share in this world. Be good to others as Allah has been good to you, and do not seek mischief in the land, for Allah does not love the mischief mongers." He replied, "All that I have been given is by virtue of the knowledge that I possess." Did he not know that Allah has destroyed many people before, who were mightier in strength and greater in riches than him? But the criminals will not be asked about their sins because Allah knows them well. One day he come out before his people in his worldly glitter, those who sought the life of this world said, "Ah! Would that we had the like of Qaroon's fortune! He is indeed a very lucky man." But those who were endowed with knowledge said, "Alas for you! Better is the reward of Allah for him who has faith and does good deeds; but none shall attain it except those who endured with fortitude." Then We caused the earth to swallow him, together with his dwellings, and he had no host to help him against Allah, nor was he able to defend himself. Now the very people who wished for a position like him, the day before, began to say, "Alas! We had forgotten that it is indeed Allah Who enlarges the provisions of whom He wills of His servants and restricts it for whom He pleases. If Allah had not been gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us too. Alas! We did not remember that the disbelievers never attain facility."  Quran, Al-Qasas, 28: 76-82

GUIDANCE

"Your Rabb creates whatever He wills and chooses for His work whom He pleases.  It is not for them (mushrikeen) to choose and assign the powers of Allah to whom they want.  Glory be to Allah!  He is far above the shirk that these people commit.  Your Rabb knows all that they conceal in their hearts and all that they reveal.  He is Allah, there is no god but He.  Praise belongs to Him in this world and in the hereafter. His is the Judgement and to Him you shall be brought back.  O' Prophet, ask them, "Have you ever considered that if Allah makes the night perpetual till the Day of Resurrection, which deity other than Allah could bring you light?  Will you not listen?"  Ask them again, "Have you ever considered that if Allah makes the day perpetual till the Day of Resurrection, which deity other than Allah could bring you the night in which you could rest?  Will you not see?  It is out of His Mercy that He has made for you the night during which you may rest, and the day during which you may seek His bounty, and that you may render thanks."  They should be mindful of the Day when He will call them and ask, "Where are those deities whom you deemed my associates?"  And We shall bring forth a witness from every nation and ask, "Bring your proof about other deities besides Me."  Then they shall come to know that in reality there is only One God, Allah, and that the gods of their own invention have left them in the lurch."  Quran, Al-Qasas, 28: 68-75
