REMEMBER ALLAH

"Bring your Rabb to remembrance deep within your soul, and in reverence without raising your voice, both in the mornings and in the evenings and be not of those who are heedless.  Surely, those who are near your Rabb (angels) are never too proud to worship Him, they declare His glory and prostrate themselves before Him." Quran, Al-Araf,  7: 205-206

PROHIBITIONS

"O' Mohammed say, "Come I will recite what your Rabb has forbidden to you: not to commit shirk with Him, be kind to your parents, not to kill your children making the excuse of inability to support them - We provide sustenance for you and for them - not to commit shameful deeds whether open or secret, and not to kill any soul forbidden by Allah except for the requirements of justice.  These are the things which He enjoined you so that you may use reason.

BLESSINGS OF ALLAH

"Surely it is Allah, Who causes the seed and the fruit-stone to split and sprout.  He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living.  It is Allah who does all this then why are you being mislead?  He causes the daybreak from the dark.  He makes the night for rest and makes the rising and the setting of the sun and the moon for you to determine times (days, weeks, months and years); these are the arrangements of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.  He is the One Who made the stars for you so that you may find your way thereby in the darkness, whether you are on land or sea.  We have spelled out Our revelations very clearly for people of common sense."  Quran, Al-Anam, 6: 95-97

BELIEVERS

"Remember the favors of Allah and the covenant which He ratified with you when you said, "We hear and we obey".  Have fear Allah; surely Allah knows the secrets of your hearts.  O' Believers!  Be steadfast for sake of Allah and bear true witness and let not the enmity of a people incite you to do injustice; do justice that nearer to piety.  Fear Allah, surely Allah is aware of all your actions.  Allah has promised those who believe and do good deeds that for them there is forgiveness and a mighty reward.  As for those who reject faith and deny Our revelations , they will be companions of the hell fire."   Quran, Al-Maidah, 5: 7-10

DUA

"Our Rabb! You have not created this in vain.  Glory be to You and save us from the punishment of Fire.  Our Rabb! Whomsoever You admit to the Fire, You have surely humiliated him and for the evil doers shall be no helper.  Our Rabb!  We have heard a caller calling us to faith saying, "Believe in your Rabb".  So we believed.  Our Rabb! therefore, forgive us our sins and acquit us of our evil deeds and make us die with the pious.  Our Rabb! Grant us that which You have promised us through Your Messengers and humiliate us not on the day of Resurrection.  Surely, You never dishonor Your promise."  Quran, Al-imran, 3:191-194

USURY

"O' Believes!  Do not consume usury which is compounded over and over again. Have fear of Allah so that you may prosper. Guard yourself against the fire which is prepared for the unbelievers. Obey Allah and His Rasool so that you may be shown mercy."  Quran, Al-Imran, 3:130-131

INTIMATE FRIENDS

"O' Believers! Do not make intimate friendships with any but your own people. The unbelievers will not miss any opportunity to corrupt you.  They desire nothing but your destruction; their malice has become evident from what they say; and what they conceal in their hearts is far worse.  We have made our revelations plain to you if you want to comprehend.  Whereas you love them, they do not love you, even though you believe in their Holy Books (the Psalms, the Torah and the Gospels)."  Quran, Al-Imran, 3:118-119

BEST NATION

"You are the best nation which has ever been raised for the guidance of mankind. You enjoin good, forbid evil, and believe in Allah.  Had the people of the book believed, it would have been better for them. Among them some are believers but most of them are transgressors. Anyhow, they can do no harm to you except a trifling annoyance... Yet they are not alike, there are some among the People of the Book who are upright, who recite the revelations of Allah all night long and then prostrate before Him.  They believe in Allah and the Last Day, they enjoin good and forbid evil and rush in emulating each other in good deeds.  These are the righteous people.  Whatever good they do, its reward will not be denied to them.  Allah knows the pious."  Quran, Al-Imran, 3: 110-115

SPEND IN THE WAY OF ALLAH

"The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears each bearing one hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases.  Allah is sufficient for His creatures needs and All-Knowing.  Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and do not follow their charity with reminders of their generosity or injure the feeling of the recipient, shall get their reward from their Rabb, they shall have nothing to fear or to grieve. Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. Allah is Self-Sufficient, Fore-Bearing."   Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2: 261-263
