RIGHTEOUSNESS

"Righteousness is not whether you turn your face towards the East or the West, but righteousness is to believe in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Books and the Prophets; to spend wealth in spite of love for it, on relatives, orphans, helpless, needy travellers, those who ask for and on the redemption of captives; to establish Salah; to pay Zakat; to fulfill promises when made; to be steadfast in poverty, hardship and at the time of war. Those are the ones who are truthful and those are the ones who are pious."  Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2:177

DUA ON COMPLETION OF THE QURAN

"O' Allah! In my grave change my fear into love.  O' Allah! Have mercy on me in the name of this great Quran and make it for me a guide and a light and a source of Your Guidance and Mercy.  O'  Allah!  Make me remember what of it I have forgotten, make me know of it that which I have become ignorant of, and make me recite it in the hours of the night and the day, and make it an argument in my favour, O' Sustainer of the worlds!"

O' Allah! Bless my parents and guide my children and their children on the right path to achieve Your great Blessings.  You are Kind and Merciful.

AL-QADR

"Surely, We have revealed this (Quran) in the night of Qadr.  And what could make you understand what the night of Qadr is?  The night of Qadr is better than one thousand months.  The angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) come down, by the leave of their Rabb, with all Decrees.  That night is the night of peace, till the break of Dawn."  Quran, Al-Qadr 97 : 1-5

RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE

"The righteous shall be in paradise drinking from a cup of wine mixed with Kafoor, from a gushing spring at which the servants of Allah shall refresh themselves, and shall be able to take of of its channels at their will.  They are those who keep their vows and dread the Day of widespread terror, who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of Allah, saying, "We feed you for the sake of Allah, Alone; We seek from you neither reward nor thanks, for we dread our Rabb's torment of a very distressful Day.  So Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and bestow on them brightness and joy, and reward them for their steadfastness with paradise and garments of silk.

There they shall be reclining on high couches; they shall feel neither scorching heat nor bitter cold.  The trees of paradise will spread their shade upon them, and their fruits will hang in clusters within their easy reach.  They shall be served with silver dishes, goblets of crystal, and goblets made of crystal-clear silver, filled according to their wishes , in due measure.  They will also be given to drink a cup of wine mixed with Zanjabeel, from a fountain called Salsabeel.  they shall be attended by boys graced with eternal youth; when you see them, they seem like scattered pearls.  And which  ever direction you will look, you will see the splendor of a great Kingdom.  They shall be arrayed in garment of fine green silk and rich brocade, adorned with bracelets of silver, and your Rabb will give them pure wine to drink.  O' Believers!  That is how you will be rewarded, and your endeavors appreciated."  Quran, Ad-Dar 76: 5-22

ADMONITION

"Surely, it is We Who have sent down the Quran to you through gradual revelation, therefore, await with patience the command of your Rabb or do not yield to any sinner or disbeliever.  Glorify the name of your Rabb morning and evening, prostrate before Him at night and glorify Him during the long hours of the night.  These unbelievers love the transitory life of this world and neglect the heavy Day that is coming ahead.  It is We Who created them and made their joints strong; but if We please We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement.  This is indeed an admonition, so let him who will, adopt the way of your Rabb, but you cannot will, except by the will of Allah.  Surely, Allah is All-Knowledgeable, All-Wise.  He admits to His mercy whom He wills; as for the wrongdoers He has prepared an painful punishment. Quran, Ad-Dhar 76:23-31

DOOMSDAY

"As for the doomsday, it shall come, when the Trumpet will be blown with a single blast and the earth with all its mountain will be lifted up and crushed into pieces with a single blast - On that day the Great Event will come to pass, heaven shall be split asunder and shall become flimsy on that day.  The angels will stand all around and eight of them will be carrying the Throne of your Rabb above them.  That shall be the day when you will be brought before your Rabb, and none of your secrets shall remain hidden."  Quran, Al-Haqdah, 69: 13-18
"Someone from among the unbelievers asked about the punishment which is bound to befall the disbelievers, which none can avert, coming from Allah, the Owners of Ways of Ascent.   The angels and Ruh ascend to Him in a Day, the measure of it is fifty thousand years.  Therefore, endure with graceful patience.  They see it (Doomsday) to be far off, but We see it quite near.  On that Day, the sky will become like molten brass and the mountains like flakes of wool; and even a close friend will not ask about his friend, though they will see each other.  To save himself from the punishment of the Day, the culprit will wish to give his children, his wife, his relative - who gave him shelter - and all that is in the earth in ransom to save himself."  Quran, Al-Maarij 70 : 1-14

LIFE OF THIS WORLD

"You should know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, a show and boasting among yourselves, a quest for greater riches and more children.  Its similitude is that of vegetation that flourishes after rain; the growth of which delights the tiller, then it withers and you see it turn yellow, soon it dries and crumbles away. In the hereafter there will be either severe punishment or forgiveness from Allah and His good pleasure.  The life of this world is nothing but an illusion.  Therefore, rush towards the forgiveness of your Rabb and for the paradise which is vast as the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His rasools.  Such is the grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He pleases, and Allah is owner of mighty grace.  Quran, Al-Hadeed 57: 20-21

HOLY QURAN

"I swear by the setting of the stars, and it is indeed a mighty oath if you but knew it, that this indeed an Honorable Quran, inscribed in a well-guarded Book, which none can touch except the purified (angles), a revelation from the Rabb of the worlds. Would you scorn a scripture such as this and instead of thanking Allah for the provisions He gave you, you are denying Him by disbelief?"  Quran, Al-Wagia 56: 71-82

MOST RIGHTEOUS

"O Believers!  Let no men laugh at other men who may perhaps be better then they are; and let no women laugh at other women, who may perhaps be better than they are.  Do not defame through sarcastic remarks about one another, nor call one another by offensive nicknames.  It is a evil thing to be called by a bad name after being a believer, and those who do not repent are the ones who are the wrongdoers. O Believers!  avoid immoderate suspicions for in some cases, suspicion is a sin.  Do not spy on one another nor backbite one another (to say something about one's behind that if one hears it, dislikes it).  Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother?  Surely, you would abhor it.  Fear Allah for Allah is the Acceptor of repentance, Merciful.  Quran, Al-Hujurat 49:11-12

RESPECT FOR PARENTS

" We have enjoined upon man to treat his parents with kindness. With much trouble did his mother bore him, and with much pain did she give him birth.  His bearing and his weaning took thirty months. When he reached the age of full strength and becomes forty years old, he says, "My Rabb! Grant me the grace that I may thank You for the favors which You have bestowed me and on my parents, and that I may do good deeds that will please You, and grant me good children.  I turn to You in repentance and I am one of the Muslims."  Quran, Al-Ahqaf, 46: 15

HOUR OF JUDGEMENT

"To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth.  On that Day when, the Hour of Judgement will be established, those who followed the falsehood, shall lose. You shall see every nation on its knees.  Every nation shall be summoned to its book of record, and Allah will say, " Today you shall be rewarded for your deeds.  This book of Ours speaks about you with the truth.  Surely we were recording all you deeds.  As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Rabb will admit them into His mercy.  That will be a manifest achievement.  But as to those who disbelieved, Allah will say, "Were My revelations not recited to you?  But you showed arrogance and became a nation of criminals."  When it was said, "The promise of Allah is true and there is no doubt in the coming of the Hour of Judgement.  You used to say, "We do not know what the Hour of Judgement is; we think it is just a conjecture, we are not convinced."  Then the evil of their deeds will become manifest to them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at, it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of your!  Hellfire will be you home and none will be there to help you."  Quran, Al-Jatiya, 45- 27-32

CREATION - NO BIG BANG THEORY!

"Ask them, "Do you really deny the one Who created the earth in two Yaums (days, time periods, stages) and do you set up rivals in worship with Him, while He is the Rabb of the worlds.  He set upon it mountains towering high above its surface, bestowed blessings upon it, provided it with sustenance according to the needs of all its dwellers, in four Yaums, equal in length - for the information of those who ask.  The He turned towards the sky, which was but smoke, He said to it and to the earth, "Come forward both of you, willingly or unwillingly," and they submitted, "We shall come willingly."  So, from this creation, He formed the seven heavens in two Yaums and to each heaven He ordained its laws.  We ordained the  lowest heavens with brilliant lamps as well as for protection. Such is the design of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing."  Quran, Fussilat, 41: 9-12

ALLAH, ALMIGHTY

"It is Allah Who has made for you the night to rest in and the day for you to see your way around. Surely, Allah is bountiful to mankind, yet, most people are not thankful.  Such is Allah, your Rabb, the Creator of all things.  There is no god but Him. None has the right to be worshiped except Him, so how are you being deluded?  Thus were those deluded who denied the revelations of Allah.  It is Allah Who has made the earth a resting place for you and the sky a canopy.  He has molded your bodies and molded them well, and has provided you with good things.  Such is Allah, your Rabb.  So Blessed is Allah, the Rabb of the worlds.  He is Ever-Living.  There is none worthy of worship but He.  Therefore, call on Him with your sincere devotion.  Praise be to Allah, the Rabb of the worlds."  Quran, Ghafir, 40: 61-65

STORY OF A TRUE BELIEVER (FROM PROPHET MUSA'S TIME)

"The man who was a true believer said, "O my people! Follow me, I shall guide you to the Right Way.  O my people! The life of this world is only temporary enjoyment, while the abode of the hereafter is everlasting.  The one who does evil shall be recompensed to the extent of the evil done, and the one who is a believer and does good deeds, whether man or woman, shall enter the paradise and therein receive sustenance without measure.  O my people! How is it that I call you to salvation, while you call me to the fire?  You invite me to deny Allah and commit shirk (worship other gods) with Him, of which I have no knowledge, while I bid you to worship the All-Mighty, the All-Forgiving.  No doubt you call me toward those who can neither grant my request in this world nor in the hereafter.  In fact, we all have to return back to Allah and the transgressors are the ones who shall go to hell.  Soon you will remember what I have told you, I am entrusting my affairs to Allah, surely, Allah is ever watchful over His servants."  So Allah saved that believer from those evil plots that the people devised against him, and the people of Firaun were overtaken by the horrible scourge."  Quran, Ghafir, 40: 38-45

REPENTANCE

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against their souls, do not despair of Allah's mercy, for Allah forgives all sins.  It is He who is Forgiving and Merciful.  Turn in repentance to your Rabb, and submit to Him before there comes to you the scourge. Follow the best way that is revealed to you by your Rabb before the scourge comes to you all of a sudden while you do not perceive it. Lest someone should say, "Alas! I neglected my duty towards Allah and I was one of those who mocked at His revelations."   Or lest he should say, "If Allah had guided me, I would have been one of the righteous."  Or lest he should say upon seeing the punishment, "I wish I had another chance, I would certainly be among the doers of good."  Then Allah will say to him, "My revelations did come to you but you denied them, you were arrogant and you were among the unbelievers."  Quran, Az-Zumar, 39: 53-59

ANGELS

"The angels, who bear the throne of Allah and those who stand around it, glorify their Rabb with His praises, believe in Him and implore forgiveness for the believers saying, "Our Rabb! You embrace all things with Your mercy and knowledge. Forgive those who repent and follow Your way and save them from the punishment of the blazing fire.  O, our Rabb! Admit them to the gardens of eternity which You have promised them together with all the righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their descendants.  You are the All-Mighty, All-Wise.  Protect them from the evil consequences of their deeds.  He, from whom you ward off evil consequences that day will surely earn Your mercy, and that will be the highest achievement."  Quran, Gharif 40: 7-9

ALLAH, ALMIGHTY

"He is Allah, the One, the Irresistible!  He created the heavens and the earth to manifest the Truth.  He causes the night to succeed the day and the day to overtake the night.  He has subjected the sun and the moon to His law, each one following the course for an appointed term.  Beware! He is the All-Mighty, All-Forgiving.  He created you all from a single person, then from that person He created his mate.  He also created for you eight heads of cattle in pairs.  He created you in the womb of your mother in stages, one after another in three layers of darkness.  This is Allah, your Rabb.  To Him belongs the sovereignty.  There is none worthy of worship but Him.  How can you then turn away from Him?"  Quran, Az-Zumar, 39: 4-6

PROPHETS IBRAHEEM & ISMAEEL

"Ibraheem said, "I am going to take refuge with my Rabb, He will surely guide me.  O my Rabb! Grant me a righteous son."  So We gave him the news of a clement son.  When he reached the age to work with him, Ibraheem said to him, "O my son! I have seen a vision that I should offer as a  sacrifice, now tell me what is your view."  He replied, "O my father! Do as you are commanded; you will find me if Allah so wills, of the patient."  And when they both submitted to Allah and Ibraheem laid down his son prostrate upon his forehead for sacrifice, We called out to him, "O Ibraheem stop!  You have fulfilled your vision."  Thus do We reward the righteous.  That was indeed a manifest test.  We ransomed his son for a great sacrifice.  Quran, As-Saffat, 37: 98-107

PROPHET YUNUS

"Yunus (Jonah) was surely one of our Rasools.  He ran away to the laden ship; and when he took part in the casting of the lots, he lost and was then thrown into the sea.  A whale swallowed him, for he had become blameworthy.  Had he not repented and become of those who glorify Allah, he would certainly have remained inside its belly till the Day of Resurrection. Then We cast him on a desolate shore in a state of serious sickness and caused a gourd plant to grow over him.  We sent him to a nation of one hundred thousand people or more.  They believed in him so We permitted them to enjoy their life for a while."  Quran, As-Saffat, 37: 139-148

BELIEVERS

Only those people believe in our revelations who, when they are reminded of them, prostrate themselves in adoration and celebrate the praises of their Rabb and are not puffed up with pride;  who forsake their beds and invoke their Rabb with fear and hope, and they spend in charity out of the sustenance which We have given them.  No one knows what delights of the eye have been kept hidden from them as a reward for their good deeds.  Can he, who is a believer be like the one who is a transgressor? Of course, they are not alike.  As for those who believe and do good deeds, they shall be awarded the garden of paradise as an entertainment for their good deeds.  But those who transgress shall be cast into the fire.  Quran, As-Sajdah 32: 15-20

ALLAH'S SIGN'S

"Of His (Allah) sign's is that He created you from dust and there you are: people scattered throughout the world.  And of His's sign's is that He created for you mates from among yourselves that you may find comfort with them, and He planted love and mercy for each other in your hearts, surely there are sign's in this for those who think about it. And also of His sign's is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the differences of your languages and colors, surely, there are sign's in this for the knowledgeable.  And among His signs is your sleep at night and quest for His bounty during the day; surely, there are sign's in this for those who listen.  And of His signs is the showing of lightening, in which there is fear as well as hope, and He sends down rainwater from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it's death; surely, there are signs in this for those who use their common sense.  And of His signs are the firmly standing heaven and earth by His command; then as soon as He summons you out of the earth, you shall come forth at one call.  To Him belongs everything that is in the heavens and the earth; all are obedient to Him.  He is the One Who originates creation, and repeats it and this is ever easier for Him.  To Him belong the highest attributes in the heavens and the earth and He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise.  Quran, Ar-Rum, 3:20-27

TRUE BELIEVERS

"Blessed is the One, Who has decked the sky with constellations and placed in it a lamp (the sun) and a shining moon.  He is the One, Who has caused the night and the day to succeed each other, for him, who desires to learn a lesson or desires to render thanks.  "True servants of the Compassionate (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and when ignorant people address them, they say, "Peace", who pass the night prostrating before their Rabb and standing in prayers, who say, "Our Rabb!  Ward off  the punishment of hell from us, for its punishment is atrocious - certainly it is an evil abode and an evil resting place", who when they spend are neither extravagant nor stingy, but keep a balance between these two extremes; who do not invoke any other god besides Allah, nor kill any soul that Allah has made sacred, except for a just cause, nor commit fornication - he that does this shall be punished for his sin, and his punishment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection, and in disgrace shall he abide forever, except the one who repents, becomes a true believer and starts doing good deeds for then Allah will change his evil deeds into good and Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. He that repents and does good deeds, has truly turned to Allah in good faith. Those are the one's, who do not bear witness to falsehood and, if they ever pass futility, pass with dignity.  Who when reminded about the revelations of their Rabb do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to them .  Who pray, "Our Rabb! Make our wives and children the comfort of our eyes and make us leaders of the righteous."  Such are the ones who will be rewarded with the lofty palaces in paradise for their patience, wherein they shall be welcomed with greetings and salutations. They shall live forever in that excellent dwelling and excellent resting place."  Quran, Al-Furqan, 25 :61-76

Modesty

"Enjoin the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their modesty, that is chaster for them.  Surely Allah is well aware of their actions.  Likewise, enjoin the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their modesty, not to display their beauty and ornaments except what normally appears thereof; let them draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their ornaments except to their husbands, their fathers, their father-in-laws ...."  Quran, An-Nur, 24 : 30-31

SUCCESS

"Indeed successful are those believers who are humble in their Salah (prayers), who avoid vain talk, who are punctual in the payment of Zakat (charity), who guard their private parts , except from their spouses or those who are legally in their possession, for in that case they shall not be blamed (however those who go beyond that in lust are the ones who are the transgressors), who are true to their trust and covenants, and who are diligent about their Salah.  These are the heirs who will inherit paradise, and live therein forever." Quran, Al-Muminun, 23:1-11

REAL SATISFACTION

Glorify your Rabb with His praise before sunrise and before sunset, glorify Him during the hours of the night as well as both ends of the day, so that you may find satisfaction.  Do not strain your eyes for the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some among them.  The lawful provision of your Rabb is better and more lasting.  Enjoin Salah on your family and be patient in its observance.  We demand nothing from you; instead We provide you sustenance.  Good shall be the end of the righteous."  Quran, Ta-Ha 2: 130-132

Thursday, December 5, 2013

ALLAH ALMIGHTY

"Ta-Ha.  We have not sent down this Quran to put you to trouble, but as a reminder to those who fear Allah.  This is revealed from Him, Who created the earth and the lofty heavens, the Compassionate (Allah), Who established Himself on the throne in a manner that suits His fancy.  To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and in the earth, and all that lies between them, and all that is beneath the soil.  The One to Whom you need not speak aloud, for He knows what is said in secret and what is yet more hidden.  He is Allah!  There is no deity worthy of worship except Him!  To Him belongs the most beautiful Names."  Quran Ta-Ha 20: 1-8

DECREES OF ALLAH

Your Rabb has decreed to you that:  You shall worship none but Him and you shall be kind to your parents.  If one or both of them (your parents) live to their old age in your lifetime, you shall not say to them any word of contempt nor repel them and you shall address them in kind words.  You shall lower to them your wings of humility out of mercy for them and pray, "O my Rabb! Bestow on them Your blessings just as they cherished me when I was a little child.  Your Rabb knows best what is in your hearts.  If you have good intentions, certainly He is most forgiving to those who turn to Him in repentance.

You shall give to your relatives their due and to the needy and to the wayfarers.  You shall not be a spend thrift as spendthrifts are the brethren of Shaitan and Shaitan is ever ungrateful to his Rabb. You shall speak courteously to needy persons if you are waiting for your Rabb's bounty and you lack the means to assist them. You shall neither tie your hands to your neck (be miserly) nor stretch them forth to their utmost reach (be a spendthrift), lest you sit back blameworthy, destitute.  Surely you Rabb gives abundantly to whom He pleases and sparingly to whom He wills, for He is aware of the condition of His servants and observes them closely.

You shall not kill your children for fear of want, for it is We who provide sustenance for them as well as for you; surely killing them is a great blunder.  You shall not go near unlawful sex;
surely it is a shameful deed and a n evil way (opens the door to other evils).  You shall not kill anyone whose killing Allah has forbidden, except for just cause (under the Islamic Law).  If anyone is killed unjustly, We have granted the right of retribution to his heir, but let him not carry his vengeance too far in killing the culprit, as he is supported by the law.  You shall not go near the property of an orphan, except with good intentions of improving it, until he attains his maturity.  You shall fulfill your pledges; surely you shall be held accountable for your pledges.  You shall give full measure, and weigh with even scale; this is the best way and will prove to be the best in the end.  You shall not follow anyone blindly in those matters in which you have no knowledge, surely the use of your ears, the eyes and the heart - all of these shall be questioned on the day of judgement.  You shall not walk arrogantly on the earth, for you can neither rend the earth asunder nor attain the heights of the mountains.  All thes are evil aspects in the sight of your Rabb.  This is but a part of the wisdom your Rabb has revealed to you.  Quran Al-Isra 17: 23-39

REWARD'S FROM ALLAH

"Do not sell the covenant of Allah for a petty price.  Certainly Allah's reward is far better than all your gain, if you but knew it. Whatever is with you is transitory and what is with Allah is everlasting. We will certainly reward those, who are patient according to the noblest of their deeds.  Whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, provided he is a believer, We shall surely grant him to live a good life, and We will certainly reward such people according to the noblest of their deeds in the hereafter. When you recite the Quran, seek Allah's protection from the accursed Shaitan, surely he has no authority over those who believe and put their trust in their Rabb.  His authority is only over those who befriend him (Shaitan) and commit shirk with Him (Allah)." An-Nahl 16:95-100
